I don't think that one can have his or her
best life now. But I do agree that when properly understood in light of the Word of God, and of course, by the regenerate, one should realize that he or she can actually have the
most worthwhile life now for one reason (or should I say one being):
GOD! God gives life to all (in the material sense), but in giving a new life to the elect (in the spiritual sense) He also grants them a worthwhile life to live. J.I. Packer notes:
"What makes life worthwhile is having a big enough objective, something which catches our imagination and lays hold of our allegiance; and this the Christian has in a way that no other person has. For what higher, more exalted, and more compelling goal can there be than to know God?"
